Upcoming Shows

You'll find me out doing this most often at spots across New Hampshire.  A combination of solo jazz guitar and some fun looped stuff combined with my split-pickup 8 string guitar. The most eclectic set you've ever heard, currently covering the classics from Miles, to Coltrane, to Sonny Rollins, as well as more modern groups like Death Cab for Cutie, Polyphia, and Aesop Rock.  

The name which I release music under.  It started as my hip hop production name, and I kept it to stand out from the 35,623 other Gary Smiths out there.  My album is a melding of many styles and includes over a dozen guests, including 3 rappers, and members of 5 bands that I'm a part of.  

A couple of Jazz geeks that can also play everything from Bill Withers, to Cake, to the Greatful Dead.  I play 8 string and manage looping while Bob (Dwyer) holds down the vocals and shreds next to me.  We're also available as a Jazz duo for more laid back venues.  

A drum-less trio that sees me hold down an 8 String guitar to balance between bass, lead, and everything in between.  The venerable Michael Hauptly-Pierce (MHP) holds down the lead vocals, while backing him up and also playing guitar is Mark Vadnais.  

A fun Jazz/Fusion trio that covers Freddie Hubbard to the Beatles with dense soundscapes and forays in and out of traditional Jazz.  Bob Dwyer on guitar, Ryan King on drums, and me holding down the low end on bass and 8 string guitar.  Currently looking for a capable horn player! A high-energy, female-led funk band with a host of great originals that we've crafted as a group, and covers that tweak the original just enough to keep it interesting.  You'll find us playing all across New England and at Strange Creek and Trout Stock at least!  Maizy Rae on vocals, Ryan Bossie on keys and backup vox, Tyler Moran on guitar and backup vox, Ryan Pratt on drums, and me on bass and 8 string guitar.  

CBC is about having a good time and making great music with great people.  Musicians and singers rotate in and out based on availability, but Brad DiPalma and Nick Burns hold down the core and write some very unique originals.  

Cinnamon Blomquist is a talented jazz flutist, who's known for breaking out a bass flute from time to time.  Joe Virga is doing crazy stuff on keys, while I hold down the low end with an 8 string guitar or a bass!
